This very special tour will appeal to your sense of smell and your sense of taste in particular. Get an idea of whisky at the distilleries in Auchentoshan, Oban, The Famous Grouse and Dalwhinnie and get to know Scotland from a very special perspective!

Day 1: Spirit of the Lowlands

Glasgow and Auchentoshan Distillery

On your way to the hotel it is worth stopping off at the River Clyde to visit the Auchentoshan Distillery. Drive along the picturesque coast of Loch Lomond to your hotel at Loch Fyne.

Situated on the shores of Loch Fyne in the Royal Burgh of Inveraray, the ***-Loch Fyne Hotel enjoys wonderful views across the loch to the Cowal Hills. The comfortable lounge bar and the excellent Lochview Restaurant serves local produce. The Loch Fyne Hotel has 80 comfortable bedrooms, 15 m swimming pool with sauna and steam room as well as spa bath.

Day 2: 'Highlands meets Islands'

Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Oban and West Coast

Your day will start with an impressive panoramic tour through the highlands and ends up at the seaside. Continue your journey to the famous Glencoe valley and Ben Nevis at 4,376 feet (1.334 m), Scotland’s highest mountain. Afterwards visit of Ben Nevis Distillery, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, founded in 1825 by (Long) John MacDonald. Pay a visit to the Oban distillery, settled in the very heart of the charming harbour town of the same name, facing the Isle of Mull, before you make your way back to your hotel.

Day 3: Trossachs and Glenturret

'Blended: The Famous Grouse'

After breakfast drive along the fascinating Loch Lomond to the Southern Highlands. The true beauty of the Trossachs will be shown to you on your way over the lovely and spectacular Duke's Pass. You will arrive about noon at Loch Katrine. A cruise up Loch Katrine on the steamship is an essential part of a day in the Trossachs. Your journey now takes you to Scotland’s oldest distillery, Glenturret. Learn about how single malt is made in the traditional way, but now you can also learn more about where some of that Glenturret single malt ends up – in the blending of Scotland’s Best Loved Whisky, the Famous Grouse, and its new range of blended malts.

Overnight at the Scotland's Hotel in Pitlochry. The comfortable and stylish Scotland’s Hotel dates from the early 1900s and offers comfortable and stylish bedrooms and a more recent addition of a comprehensive leisure club. Relax - you are in good hands.

The suites, executive and standard bedrooms are all en-suite and thoughtfully designed and decorated. The Faskally Restaurant provides a satisfying taste of the region. The hotel's Club Bar is just the place to try out some malt whiskies like the local Edradour and Blair Athol.

Day 4: Speyside and Central Highlands

'Whisky world wide'

Start your day heading out towards the 'Valley of the Deer', set in the heart of the Highlands. Glenfiddich is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distilled and bottled at the Glenfiddich Distillery. Glenfiddich has now become the world's best-selling single malt. It is sold in 180 countries and accounts for about 30% of single malt sales.

Continue your journey to Dalwhinnie Distillery and take the opportunity to sample the 'Gentle Spirit' of the glen at the highest distillery in Scotland.

The last place to visit before you make your way back to your hotel is Blair Athol Distillery. This distillery with its four stills, established in 1798 in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, produces a 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky.
