The friendly monster Nessie is the best known and the most mysterious monster of the world.

Visit the impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle with its commanding views of the Loch. Explore the history and mystery at the edge of the Scottish Highlands.


Day 1: Arrival

Journey by plane to Inverness, Prestwick, Glasgow or Edinburgh.

 

The Hotel is situated in Drumnadrochit, a quarter of a mile from Loch Ness, and it is part of the world famous Loch Ness Exhibition Centre. The Drumnadrochit Hotel is centrally located for touring the Highlands. The 3-star Hotel offers 32 rooms - single, twin, double and family rooms including two with full facilities for disabled guests. All rooms are ensuite with 'sleepeasy' beds, TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. The Loch Ness Cafe serves a variety of lunch options and the Bistro offers evening dining with a la carte and bar supper menus with views of the village of Drumnadrochit as well as the hills and the Great Glen beyond.


Day 2: Loch Ness - More than a monster!

The Loch Ness Exhibition Centre (a 5-star visitor attraction) is a fully automated multi media exhibition with many special effects and animations in six different rooms. The Exhibition continues to be one of Scotland's premier tourist attractions. There are a host of quality on site retail outlets, including the Nessie, Kiltmaker and Whisky shop, and also the Heraldry shop which gives you the opportunity to investigate about your clan history. In the afternoon you will visit Urquhart Castle which stands impressively overlooking Loch Ness and with spectacular views along the Great Glen to Inverness. Enjoy your dinner back at the Hotel.


Day 3: The Highlands

North of Inverness, near the village of Golspie, Dunrobin Castle and Gardens is one of the Great Houses of Scotland. Dunrobin Castle was used as a film location for Rosamunde Pilcher's novels "Winter Solstice" and "Summer Solstice". Then you will drive across the scenic Highlands and take a boat trip on Loch Ness and parts of the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Clansman Harbour on the shore of Loch Ness.


Day 4: Nessie forever - The mystery lives on

After breakfast continue your journey home by plane.
