Schottland, das Land von Clans, Golf und Whisky. Und, was weniger bekannt ist, auch das Land der Pferde. Die stolzen Vierbeiner stehen vom 16. – 26. Mai in den schottischen Borders im Mittelpunkt. Auf dem Borders Festival of the Horse können Besucher nicht nur rassige und seltene Pferde bewundern und allerlei Vorführungen bestaunen, es gibt auch die Möglichkeit, selbst einmal die Zügel in die Hand zu nehmen und sich durch die zauberhafte Landschaft der Borders in Südschottland führen zu lassen. Eine Ausstellung zum Thema Pferd ist für diejenigen gedacht, die vor den erhabenen Tieren eher Respekt haben. Und keine Angst, Whisky ist dort auch allerorts zu haben.
