From today visitors can fly from the River Clyde in Glasgow City Centre to Tobermory on the isle of Mull. Flights on the nine-seat Cessna 208 take just 35 minutes, compared to a trip time of around five hours by car and ferry. The service is run by Loch Lomond Seaplanes, which pioneered seaplane flights from Glasgow to Oban last summer.
