… können Besucher der mittlerweile siebenten National Mud Festival in Wales werden, das in Südwales am 6. und 7. September 2008 gefeiert wird. Im WWT National Wetland Centre können Neugierige mehr über die Bedeutung des Watts erfahren und wie es beispielsweise der Wetlands Trust zu erhalten sucht. Wer sich die Hände schmutzig machen will, kann das beim Töpfern tun oder beim Lehmhüttenbau Hand anlegen. Wer Wissenswertes über Schlamm und Modder erfahren möchte, kann bei einer Mud-Safari, einem geführten Gang über Salzwiesen und dem Watt dabei sein. Der Manager des WWT National Wetland Centre Wales hofft schon jetzt, dass die Besucher wieder Spaß sowohl an den Aktivitäten als auch am Lernen haben werden und fügt mit einem Augenzwinkern hinzu: "Ich hoffe, sie nehmen wieder etwas mehr als nur ihre schmutzigen Sachen mit nach Hause." Das Centre ist täglich von 9.30 bis 17.00 Uhr geöffnet, der Eintritt kostet ca. 9 Euro.
